What Is The Shape Of Your Face?

When you were in high school, you were often given quizzes, tests, or exams which determined how much you learned from your various subjects. Most students study for these tests, wanting to prepare themselves in order to make sure they pass. They look for all the details they may need to know because past experience has told them that little details can make a big difference in an exam. This is the same when wanting to lose fat in your face.

Before you start exercising and toning. You should first study the details of your face and body. It is important that you know these details because sometimes realizing certain aspects of your face or body can help you understand and choose which exercise or course of action for getting a beautiful face is best for you. Going back to our analogy, the little details you know about your face can make a big difference in helping you achieve your goal.

When it comes to your face, the first detail you have to look at is your face shape. Sometimes the shape of your face is what makes you seem like you have a fat or chubby face. Also, some facial shapes are more prone to certain types of facial fat. Determining the shape of your face can help you figure out if you truly have a facial fat problem. I know many women who looked like they had fat faces, but it was really just due to the fact that they had the wrong hair cut or hair style for their face or the wrong system of putting on make up.

To figure out the shape of your face, take a tape measure. Position yourself in front of a mirror and have a piece of paper and a pen or pencil ready for you to take down the measurements. Using either side (either metric or British system) begin taking the following measurements of your face:

1. the width of your face: across the top of your cheekbones
2. the width of your face: across your jawline from the widest point to the widest point
3. the width of your face: across your forehead at its widest point
4. the length of your face: from the tip of your hairline down to your chin

Once you have these four measurements, look at your face again. Visualize lines going across or down the areas where you made measurements. You should visualize one line going down your face, and three lines going across. Have you ever seen these lines before? I'll give you a hint: these lines are the lines artists, particularly those who draw portraits use to make sure they draw a proportional portrait. Visualizing these facial lines will help you see if your face is properly proportioned according to your face shape.
