Once you have answered these questions you have either detected your problem areas or realized that you don't have a big problem area and just need some overall facial toning to tighten your muscles and better define your features. Knowing your problem areas will give you a starting point for your exercising, and will help you choose the right exercise for your face.

If you're having trouble figuring out your problem areas look at your face shape again. As mentioned earlier, some face shapes can be prone to certain problems. For example, round and oblong faces are prone to chubby cheeks and double chins. Diamond and heart shaped faces are prone to double chins. Triangular, square, and oval shaped faces are prone to chubby cheeks.

Now, there are some of us whose problems stare us in the face. If you are more than slightly overweight, then you probably have chubby cheeks, a double chin, jowls, and a turkey neck. If this is the case, you have to exercise your body everyday and follow a proper diet. You can definitely still do your face exercises, but you'll be surprised to see how much facial fat you will lose by simply exercising your entire body.  

Some men and women who are overweight have chosen to lose the excess weight first, before starting on facial exercises. Losing the excess weight first gives them a good idea of where they should start with face exercises. Sometimes they claim that the excess fat keeps them from being able to make correct facial measurements. Also, it gives them a chance to focus on losing the excess weight, instead of worrying about losing the excess weight and losing facial weight at the same time. This is a personal choice however, and it's really up to you!
