The Prevention of Wrinkles Is Better Than Curing It

Eliminating wrinkles through the use of low-cost methods is smart, but preventing them from developing in the first place is even smarter. Letting them sit and not doing anything about it only invites more problems to come. There'll be a point in time when the lines get so deep, that you'll have to result surgery to look “normal” again. Not only that, but you'll have to shell out a ton of dough to make the operation happen. Plus, there's a chance the procedure fails, leaving your face messed up.

That's why the prevention of wrinkles is so much better than curing it – doing so wins you the battle before it even begins. With that said, one way to do this is by avoiding too much exposure with the sun. Everybody knows (except those with wrinkly faces, maybe) that UV rays causes premature skin aging, thus leading to more horrid lines appearing everywhere on the mug. To counter the damaging effect of the sun, put on lotion and creams with SPF protection. This also helps shield you from the dangers of other skin disorders, such as skin cancer.

Keeping hydrated with plenty of water and fruit juice has proven its worth with the prevention of wrinkles. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water on a daily basis is highly recommended. Drinking fresh juice (not the ones you see at the grocery as they're loaded with sugar) has also its fair share of benefits, since they're packed with antioxidants which “reverse” the aging process through the elimination of free radicals. Eating fish, fruits, and vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals have also been shown to have a similar effect.

Most important thing for you to avoid would be smoking – this deadly habit dehydrates the skin. Through continuous use of cigarettes, you'll be “adding” up to 12 years to your age, meaning you'll look a lot older. That also means it's a definite possibility for you to start looking like a 60 year old while only at 48 years of age. Moreover, drinking too much coffee and black tea is said (but not verified) to have negative impacts on your mug.

Last piece of advice that aids in the prevention of wrinkles is avoiding getting stressed out. Too much stress does show on your face (that's why cranky people do look old). Lastly, getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night helps unwind the tension inside of you.
