If you are reading this, chances are you've already accepted the fact that you have chubby features or simply said, a fat face. Or perhaps, you’ve come to realize that you need to begin toning and exercising your facial muscles so as to maintain your youthful and beautiful look well into your old age. However, before throwing yourself into a particular regimen which will help you lose facial fat, tone your face muscles, and give you a youthful glow, it is important that you understand the reasons why facial fat is present.
Everyone has fat in their bodies. Even the leanest, best toned person has fat. Our bodies need fat. First, it is our body's way or reserving nutrients which we may need in the future, and it's also the body's way of insulating itself. It is important to remember that our bodies need fat, and that we should never rid ourselves of all body fat.
In our faces, fat serves the purpose of filling in specific areas. Usually we find facial fat in our cheeks and near our jawline. When we look at the neck area, it is usually right underneath the chin, or on either side of the neck coming down from the chin and ears. Remember that we all have fat in these areas. Some have more than others, but it's generally there.
Now, believe it or not, facial fat is designed to make you look younger. This is especially true when you are older. As we get older, our faces tend to lose their fat naturally (this fat is commonly called 'baby fat') making our faces more angular. In the neck area, the skin sags and the neck loses its definition. Having facial fat during your elder years can actually make you look better because features that are soft around the edges or are fuller will make you look younger, and facial fat can achieve this look, but only during your older years.
