Getting an actual facelift is quite expensive; sometimes even near impossible to afford for many (especially if you're broke). Even if you could afford the procedure, there's a long list of risks that you're gonna have to take, such as swelling and skin discoloration. We also have scarring on this list, as well facial asymmetry – yes, that's right. You could end up with an uneven mug after the operation. Not only that, but there's a chance for you to develop deep vein thrombosis in addition to cardiac complications.
So as you can see there are some high risks that may or may not happen. But still, there's always that possibility of getting screwed for life. Having said that, I have a safer alternative for you, which basically is (in essence) a “facelift without surgery”. It's definitely possible to give a little “boost” to that saggy face of yours without any need for expensive and potentially dangerous invasive surgery.
A facelift without surgery can be achieved through facial exercises. This method works on the very basic principal of toning muscles. Muscles get smaller and weaker with age and stress, therefore making it harder to keep support on your skin. When that happens, your skin begins to sag, making it more susceptible to wrinkles as well.
Facial exercises work by getting those muscles back into shape, which in turn hold up the skin on your mug better, leaving you with less sag. This type of workout also serves to benefit in another way, by increasing the blood flow going to your mug. More blood flowing to your face does wonders for your appearance, since red blood cells carry oxygen and nutrients. Moreover, the old and dead cells get flushed out and replaced by new and healthy cells. This all adds up to a healthier and rejuvenated look.
It makes perfect sense, getting a facelift without surgery is plausible. However, don't expect an instant change in your looks right away. Exercises for the face will take time before yielding results, but are still a lot more painless and cost-efficient (since they basically cost nothing at all). Additionally, it's but of the utmost importance that you pair this type of exercise with your current routine. An ideal routine should include lots of cardiovascular workouts plus some resistance training to achieve optimum results.
Lastly, make sure that you eat the proper food and avoid the wrong ones. You may be burning hundreds of calories every week, but putting more calories back in will get you nowhere.
