Whether you’ve developed a fat neck due to old age or as a result of excess weight, fat neck exercises can be the solution to your problem. Having a fat neck is truly unflattering because it gives no definition to your jaw or shoulders. In order to gain back definition, you have to target the area with specific fat neck exercises. These exercises are really easy to do, and you just need a bit of time and dedication to do them. Through your consistency, your fat neck exercises will lead to a whole new neck, and you will feel the change in your life!
Of the many fat neck exercises, two that work quite well are the head shake and neck crunches. Start with the head shake. While seated comfortably in a chair, look up at the ceiling and shake your head by looking right then looking left. Count two seconds on each side and do the shake ten times. This exercise stretches out your neck, especially the area underneath your chin. This is the main part of the neck that tends to fatten up and acquire lose skin. Targeting this area should always be your first step in your fat neck exercises. You can do this exercise at work or at home, and it’s one of the more convenient fat neck exercises.
This next exercise needs a bit more time. If you have a private office you can do it at work. Most people are more comfortable doing it when they get up in the morning or when they get home. Lie on the floor with your back straight. Slowly lift your shoulders and neck off the floor, allowing your head to move forward and letting your chin touch your chest. Holding your shoulders and neck off the floor, move your head right to left like you’re doing the head shake. Do this ten times before lying back down completely and resting. After a quick rest, repeat the procedure. Do this twice a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening if you can. Remember to massage your neck and shoulders lightly at the end of the exercise so that the muscle relaxes and you don’t deal with any built up tension that can bother you during your work day or other activities.
There are many more fat neck exercises that you can do. Having a fat neck is a serious situation, but an even more serious situation is not doing your fat neck exercises correctly and unknowingly acquiring a kind of neck injury. The neck is a sensitive area of the body, and it can easily be stressed. If at any time during your fat neck exercises you feel that something doesn’t feel right or if something is unusually painful, stop the exercises. You may need to go slow with your exercises, doing five repetitions to start with instead of ten while your neck muscles build their strength. Going slow might be the solution to your problem, but with your hard work and persistence, it will definitely pay off!
