The first thing that someone notices when they meet somebody isn’t the shiny shoes, but that pretty little mug of yours. So when you see somebody that has an excessively chubby face, the following 2 ideas usually pop into your head: it’s either he’s cute, or he’s not that attractive. It’d be great if the former was the only thought they could think of you, but in most cases (especially when you’re older than 12), it’s usually the latter.
Having a fat face can have negative effects on your confidence – when your confidence is low, practically every aspect of your life is affected, so it’s safe to say this is a problem that needs to be addressed. But don’t fret; this “condition” is definitely curable. And one thing you can do which helps a lot with facial fat reduction is to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
People that don’t drink enough water tend to retain more of it, thus causing the chubby cheeks. By drinking at least 4 glasses in the morning before breakfast, you’ll be inclined towards eating less throughout the day, therefore cutting back on your overall weight as well.
Next piece of advice is to avoid food rich in salt – this ingredient retains water and causes swelling (making your face look fatter). A more ideal diet would include vegetables and fruits, mainly because they have less calories, contain fibers (leads to other health benefits as well), antioxidants (making you look younger), and contains water that’ll help you keep hydrated. However, it’s important that you not eat too much fruit that’s rich in fructose (like bananas and grapes) – even if it is nature’s sugar, it’s still sugar none the less.
Moving forward, calcium from dairy products has also been proven to help with facial fat reduction. Experts recommend taking somewhere around 1gram of calcium a day. This not only helps you trim down, but aids with the development of stronger bones as well.
Avoid alcohol as much as you can – alcohol is loaded with calories, which obviously doesn’t make you look any thinner. Also, this substance dehydrates the body, therefore retaining more water which makes you look bloated around the cheeks and stomach.
Last thing you should never leave out when trying to remove fat from your face is plenty of exercise. There’s no specific exercise that’s designed for facial fat reduction alone, but targeting the entire body helps reduce that fats around your face indirectly. Pumping iron is great, coz it develops the muscles, and muscles eat a lot of calories and fat to maintain its size. So the more muscle you’ve got the more calories and fat you’ll be burning. This coupled with jogging, swimming, aerobics and other cardio work-outs will do wonders that chubby mug of yours.
