Face & Neck Skin Care

It was briefly mentioned a few times throughout the last articles that your fat neck and fat face exercises should be coupled with a good diet, good body exercise routine, and good skin care. A good diet was discussed in this article while exercises depending on your body type were covered in this article. Now, it is time to discuss skin care.

Taking care of your skin, making sure you have youthful and good skin is one of the ways you can improve the appearance of face and neck. Not caring for your skin ages it faster. Aged skin tends to look dull and sallow and this only enhances the fat deposits in your face and neck because these areas can become darker and more accentuated. Having good skin makes your face and neck fat less obvious because people will focus on your beautiful skin. Since facial fat is actually associated with youth, coupling your facial fat with youthful skin will make you seem much younger.

To give yourself youthful and glowing skin, you have to have a good skin care regimen. This is your daily skin care routine which you have to do every day in order to maintain your beautiful skin. Once you start the regimen, it is best not to stop. Following a skin care system throughout your youth, middle age, and old age will give you perfect skin for the rest of your life, and you will always look younger, healthier, and more attractive than your peers who do not follow any formal skin care system.

First, stay away from the sun. While having a tan or getting color into your cheeks is seen as healthy and desirable while you're young, its effects are awful and your skin will show it when you're older. The sun's rays damage your skin, making you more prone to wrinkles, age spots, skin discoloration, and skin cancer. Your skin will also appear drier and leathery. All these can enhance the fat on your face and neck, which is something you don't want.

Always protect yourself from the sun by wearing protective clothes and hats. If you need to be out in the sun, wear a strong sunblock, especially on your face. If you are exposed to the sun often or on an everyday basis, be sure to wear a moisturizing sunblock every day on your face. This can help protect you from the sun's harmful rays.

Next, cleanse your face! You'll be amazed how many people do not clean their face at all. Make sure you cleanse your face twice a day. Once in the morning, and once in the evening, and use a mild mineral based cleanser. Other than that, try not to wet your face or wash it. If you take a shower, this counts as wetting or washing your face, so be sure to cleanse it while showering and count this in as part of your twice a day cleansing ritual.

After cleansing your face, use a mineral based toner, applied with a clean cotton ball. Make sure your toner is alcohol free so that it doesn't excessively dry your skin. Toner will help make your pores smaller and soothe your skin after having been cleansed. Use it sparingly!

Apply a moisturizer to your face after using your toner. If it is daytime or you're going out during the day, apply a moisturizing sunblock. If you are not going out during the day, apply a daily moisturizer. In the evenings, apply a night moisturizer or a night cream. Make sure you apply your moisturizers in upward motions or upward strokes so as to prevent wrinkles from forming and so your skin isn't encouraged to sag. If you have any pimples, apply dabs of an acid free pimple cream on the pimple only, not on the entire face.

During the day, you can put make‐up over your moisturizer. If you go out at night, lightly moisturize and put on your make up, but don't use your night cream till you're ready for bed. Night creams usually work best while you're getting some shut eye, so if you go out in the evening, wait till you get back to do your regimen and apply your night cream.

When cleansing and moisturizing, be sure you cleanse and moisturize your neck as well, and to apply moisturizer, upwards. Also, apply lotion all over your body. Remember that the rest of your body needs moisturizing too! Keeping yourself well moisturized all around will help keep your skin healthy and young!

If you can, don't wear make‐up all the time. Letting your skin breathe and be natural is one of the best things you can do for your skin. If you do have to wear make‐up, make sure you remove it well and cleanse and moisturize yourself afterwards.

Next, stay away from excessive alcohol, caffeine, carbonated drinks, and cigarette smoke (even second hand smoke.) All of these are bad for your skin and will age your skin quickly. They usually promote wrinkles and spots or discoloration around your face and the skin in the rest of your body. Having a bit of alcohol or coffee once in a while should be okay, but always stay away from carbonated drinks and second hand smoke.

Do this skin regimen and make sure you eat right. It can make a world of difference!
