Double Chin Exercises

Double chin exercises are becoming more and more popular nowadays as the solution to having a double chin. These exercises are quite effective at ridding someone of a double chin. Through consistent exercising, which requires just a few minutes a day, you can lose your double chin within a few short weeks. Combine your double chin exercises with steady water intake. About eight glasses a day really is best, and attempt to do consistent cardiovascular exercises as well. Since double chins are caused by excess fat, double chin exercises will work best if aerobic exercises are coupled with it. Try power walking for thirty minutes each day as the aerobic exercise that goes with your double chin exercises, and see amazing results!

A good combination of double chin exercises is the lower lip curl and the jaw dig. Facing yourself in a mirror, move you lower lip in so that it curls and covers your bottom teeth. You should feel tension in your chin area, and sometimes you will feel tension under your chin as well. Next, open your mouth as wide as you can, or until you can feel the tension. Next, with your lip still curled and your mouth still open, move your jaw up and down. Do this up and down motion seven times, holding each “up” for ten seconds, and each “down” for another ten seconds. You can do this exercise once in the morning and once in the evening, or for as many times as you can tolerate it.

Follow this lip curl with the jaw dig. Similarly to the lip curl, you will move your lower lip over your teeth. To properly do this exercise, open your mouth as wide as you can. Using your fingers, move your lower lip over your bottom teeth while your mouth is still wide open. Once your lip is over the bottom teeth, make a digging movement with your jaw ten times, similar to moving your head forward into an upwards nod. Do this movement ten times before resting your jaw, and then repeat the exercise one more time which makes a total of twenty digging movements. Like the lip curl, you can do this exercise once in the morning and once in the evening for best results!

Double chin exercises can be done anywhere and anytime once you get used to the motions and stretches you must do in order to execute the exercises properly. Before you know it, you’ll be doing double chin exercises in your car, in the shower, or anywhere that you feel is comfortable and convenient for you. Remember to gently massage your jaw, and underneath your chin after each exercise in order to relax your jaw and the muscle. You will also get the full effect of each succeeding exercise when you do this. It’s similar to the “cooling off” stretches that are done during a regular overall body workout. Do these consistently, and you will have a nicely defined new chin!
